Chapter 1. The Power and Presence of God.
2,000 years ago, God came to Earth in the person of Jesus Christ. Not only did he amaze everyone with his demonstration of the power and presence of God, he also gave his disciples the ability to live and move in the power and presence of God.
Then, following Jesus's ascension into Heaven, just as Jesus had promised his followers, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit of God to His people, and they continued living in the power and presence of God.
Over the past 2,000 years that power and presence of God has always been available to the followers of Jesus Christ, and that will continue until Jesus Christ returns at the end of this age.
In this chapter, I share how I went from being an atheist to a Christian to becoming a church minister. How I discovered the amazing evidence for God, and how I began to experience the power and presence of God. It was just like I had read about Christians experiencing the power and presence of God, which was written about in the Christian Holy Bible.
I then share how I began to teach others through my Listening to God meetings, and over a period of fifteen years, helped many people come to experience the power and presence of God in their lives.
The very fact that Christians have been experiencing the power and presence of God for the past 2,000 years, and that people have been learning how to do this over the past few years should encourage you. You can learn this too.
You can learn how God can speak to you directly, through his angels, through your dreams and visions, and through other Christians. You will learn how to pray for miracles of healing for yourself and for others.
You can experience God working in you and through you, delivering messages from God for others. This is an amazing and wonderful way to serve the Lord our God.
