CHRIST CHURCH MOUNT PELLON.

This is the church I attended for over 30 years, and mentioned in my book - Amazing Evidence For God: How To Experience The Power And Presence Of God. 

Sadly, the church was closed down, and we held our last Sunday morning service, on Sunday, 28th June 2026.

However, a group of volunteers meet every Saturday morning from May to September, to keep the graveyard clear of brambles, shrubs and weeds.  So that visitors can still visit family graves.

The first grave in the graveyard was back when the church was built in 1854, and it contains 2226 graves with just over 8400 residents!

History of Christ Church Mount Pellon. 1854 to 1979. A 125 Year Review. For those of you who would like to know more about this historic church.

Christ Church Cemetery Companion. This holds an alphabetical list of residents and will give you the grave plot number.

The Green Map.  This will give you an approximate location of the grave.

OLD and New Graveyard. Shows the area of the old graveyard and the extension of the new graveyard.

Christ Church Pellon Full Drawing. This will help you find the exact location of the grave.

Monumental Inscriptions.  Some graves are unmarked, which means they don't have a grave headstone or side kerb stones. But the Monumental Inscriptions will show if a grave is unmarked or has a headstone and what is engraved on the headstone.  This is really useful when locating a grave.

When you have found the grave you are looking for on the Full Drawing, look for the closest path to that grave.

Then make a map, note how many graves it is from the path.

Note the inscription closest to the path, and look for this when you visit the graveyard.

Then, count the number of graves to your family grave.

If the grave you are looking for is an unmarked grave, list the grave inscriptions on either side of your grave.

Or, you could email me the details and grave plot number, and then visit us on a Saturday morning, and I can help you locate the grave, and if it is overgrown, strim the grave for you.
